Birthline ministry in need of donated items for mothers and young children
Birthline, a ministry of the archdiocesan Office of Human Life and Dignity that helps pregnant women and mothers of young children in crisis, needs donated items for babies and toddlers.
The Indianapolis-based ministry serves 1,400 mothers annually by providing material goods such as maternity clothes, baby clothes, diapers, baby shampoo and other necessary supplies.
Currently, Birthline is in great need of the following items:
-
diapers, newborn to size 5
-
diaper cream, baby wash, pacifiers, teethers, baby wipes
-
socks sized up to 24 months
-
new or clean gently used maternity clothing (especially sizes large, 1X
and 2X)
-
new or clean gently used children’s clothing (boys and girls) sized newborn through 2T
-
strollers
-
portable baby beds (no full-size cribs or other large furniture)
-
receiving blankets and baby blankets
-
baby and toddler coats, jackets and hats.
Donations may be dropped off Mondays and Wednesdays from 10-11:30 a.m. and 1-2:30 p.m. at the Xavier Building, 1435 North Illinois St., in Indianapolis. Parking and the entrance are located on the north side of the building. Pull up next to the garage, let the security guard know you are there, and staff will meet you.

Golf scramble benefitting Missy’s Hope Maternity Home is set for July 15
A golf scramble benefiting Missy’s Hope Maternity Home in Jennings County will take place at St. Anne’s Golf Course, 360 E. County Road 350 N., in North Vernon, with a tee-time of 8 a.m. on July 15.
The cost is $50 per person or
$200 for a team of four. Register by July 10.
