We are Sinners All, at the Door of Mercy

Do not look up to us
in our glassy hues of reds and blues
or as unearthly, plaster piety.

See our tepidness.
See our arrogance.
See our humanness.

And be encouraged.

We are holy, not perfect.
Shame clinging to us
we were raw, exposed.

And yet. And yet.
We came to the door of mercy.
And He. He is open.

And we. We walk in.
